Jennifer’s students range from complete beginners to university music majors. She currently teaches guitar, music history, and career skills for musicians at Humboldt State University in Arcata, California. Her current online students live in Arcata, L.A., Oakland, San Jose, and Vancouver.

The curriculum for each private student is tailored to the individual and includes step-by-step technical exercises, songs, repertoire from a variety of styles, and opportunities to improvise, and compose. Students are encouraged to create from the very start, as they grow their own artistry.

Jennifer's pre-college students have gone on to earn degrees in guitar performance, musical theater, music education, and music business, and have been awarded scholarships at dozens of schools such as the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, University of Southern California, Eastman School of Music, NYU, Oberlin College, University of Miami, Bard College, Belmont University, Berklee College of Music, Lawrence University, Northwestern University, DePaul University, Indiana University, Northeastern Illinois University, and University of Michigan, as well as non-music degrees at Columbia University, the University of Chicago, and more.
